Over the last few years, I’ve worked with several clients and companies to create and optimise content and social media marketing efforts online. Here are just a few of the brands I’ve worked with over the last eight years.
As a social media manager for the academic social media team of Oxford University Press, I sit on a board of senior marketing managers from across the press to review, approve, and debate on social media issues at a brand level for the entire OUP brand. I also oversee campaign marketing plans for the academic side of the business helping guide and oversee campaign marketing strategy, social media, and content marketing efforts for over approx 250 marketers including my social media marketing team. As a dynamic leader and marketer, I have both creative, strategy, and operational experience along with strong commercial awareness. In the last three years, I’ve grown my skills, knowledge, and ability to create and implement only paid social advertising and a certified Google Analytics Academy graduate with two university qualifications, including a BA in Business, Communication and Journalism, and another in the fundamentals of digital marketing by Google.
As a way of practicing and extending my skills and expressing my creativity and passion, I’ve launched two businesses, including inspirational prints and stationery to local craft markets and through selling online. I created my logo, brand, and set up social media profiles and created 14 handcrafted product lines for an identified customer group. I’ve worked with several influencers to create brand awareness, and experienced first hand mentoring through a selected process with eBay and The Princes Trust who have put faith in my, my business plan, and helped me grow in my enterprise skills. There is nothing I am more passionate about marketing and communications, and especially when I get to be apart of a team.
In the past I’ve managed over seventy-one clients, across the UK, America and the United Arab Emirates, developing and delivering a comprehensive content and social media marketing strategy for a digital marketing agency. I’ve worked on creating content audits, migrated content from two long-existing government websites for the UK Gov, and been the first content manager for the Competitions Market Authority for its launch back in October 2013. From creating content, too managing monitoring content for SEO, social networks. I defined how best practice shall be utilized to increase consumer visibility, traffic, performance, and reputation. Working across SEO, PPC and web design teams to define targets and achieve wider business performance objectives.
I also have experience in building and managing a team of copywriters and social media strategists in the UK and America defining KPI’s, leading and developing team skills and recruiting further talent.
As head of social media and content, I would promote, influence and develop digital understanding across the wider business, working with various stakeholders.
